Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving is engineered for efficient assembly and installation, featuring both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves tailored to specific shelving capacity needs. Crafted from cold rolled sheet steel, the unit includes 6 adjustable shelves that are formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, stamped on the top left corner for identification. The Class 2 shelves, made from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, feature roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends, offering resistance welded construction with welds spaced 3" on center for enhanced strength. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, while all four corners are lapped and resistance welded, contributing to the shelf's rigidity and durability. The top surface is punched for shelf divider attachment on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are punched for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge is designed to withstand impact loads. This shelving system is suitable for uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
