Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving is specially designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, the shelving features 6 adjustable shelves that are formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 2 shelves are fabricated from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel and have roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends resistance welded to the underside, ensuring maximum strength with welds spaced 3" on center. The sides are triple flanged to form a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to enhance the shelf's rigidity and strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, while all other sizes feature punch holes on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
