These clear non-vacuum desiccators are manufactured from borosilicate glass and come with a borosilicate glass lid featuring a molded-in knob, allowing for excellent visibility and the ability to be autoclaved. The rims of both the desiccator and lid are ground glass, requiring greasing before use to create an air-tight seal. The package includes a perforated porcelain desiccator plate that fits onto a ridge above the lower chamber, enabling the placement of a standard drying agent, such as silica or anhydrous calcium chloride, in the lower chamber. The dimensions are as follows: flange outer diameter is 150mm, flange inner diameter is 140mm, top chamber diameter is 150mm, top chamber height is 90mm, and maximum clearance above the plate is 120mm.
