These clear non-vacuum desiccators are manufactured from borosilicate glass and include a borosilicate glass lid with a molded-in knob. The clear glass construction provides excellent visibility and is suitable for autoclaving. The rims of both the desiccator and lid are made of ground glass, requiring greasing prior to use to ensure an air-tight seal. The kit also features a perforated porcelain desiccator plate that fits onto a ridge above the lower chamber, allowing for effective drying agents such as silica or anhydrous calcium chloride to be positioned in the lower chamber. The dimensions include a flange outer diameter of 200mm, a flange inner diameter of 180mm, a top chamber diameter of 200mm, a top chamber height of 105mm, and a maximum clearance above the plate of 175mm.
