These autoclaveable desiccators are constructed from polypropylene (PP) and polycarbonate (PC), capable of being autoclaved at 120°C for 15 minutes. The top dome, molded from rigid and transparent PC, offers a crystal-clear view of the sample, while the knurled knob on the top allows for easy handling of the dome. The lower portion is made of PP, and it features an internal groove on the flange that securely holds a silicon rubber O-ring. For optimal performance, vacuum grease should be applied on the flanges to ensure an air-tight seal.
