These autoclavable desiccators are constructed from polypropylene (PP) and polycarbonate (PC) and can maintain a vacuum up to 740 mm Hg for 24 hours without the need for greasing. They are designed to be autoclavable at 120 °C for 15 minutes. The top dome, made of rigid and transparent PC, provides a crystal-clear view of the sample, while the knurled knob facilitates easy handling of the dome. The transparent PC bottom enhances viewing clarity, and an internal groove on the flange securely holds the silicon rubber O-ring. The kit includes a perforated PP desiccator plate, and the PP stopcock features a self-lubricating PTFE plug. This three-way plug allows for vacuum creation, vacuum retention, and vacuum release.
