These autoclavable desiccators are constructed from polypropylene (PP) and polycarbonate (PC) and are capable of maintaining a vacuum up to 740 mm Hg for 24 hours without the need for greasing. They are designed to be autoclavable at 121°C for 15 minutes. The top dome, made from rigid and transparent PC, offers a clear view of the sample inside, while the knurled knob on the top facilitates easy handling. The lower portion of the desiccator is composed of PP and features a perforated PP desiccator plate. An internal groove on the flange accommodates a silicon rubber O-ring, ensuring a secure seal. Additionally, the PP stopcock is compatible with 1/4" I.D. tubing and is equipped with a self-lubricating PTFE plug. The three-way plug allows users to create a vacuum, release the vacuum, or shut it off as needed.
