These autoclaveable desiccators are constructed from polypropylene (PP) and polycarbonate (PC), capable of maintaining a vacuum of up to 740 mm Hg for 24 hours without the need for greasing. They can be autoclaved at 121°C for 15 minutes. The top dome is molded from rigid and transparent PC, providing a crystal-clear view of the sample, while the knurled knob on the top enhances handling ease. The lower part consists of PP and features a perforated PP desiccator plate. An internal groove on the flange secures the silicon rubber O-ring, and the PP stopcock accommodates 1/4" I.D. tubing, incorporating a self-lubricating PTFE plug. The three-way plug allows for vacuum creation, vacuum release, or shut-off functionalities.
