These autoclavable desiccators are constructed from polypropylene (PP) and polycarbonate (PC), capable of maintaining a vacuum of up to 740 mm Hg for 24 hours without the need for greasing. They can be autoclaved at 120°C for 15 minutes. The top dome is molded from rigid and transparent PC, providing a crystal-clear view of the sample within. A knurled knob on the top facilitates easy handling of the dome, while the transparent PC bottom enhances viewing clarity. An internal groove on the flange holds a silicon rubber O-ring for optimal sealing. The kit includes a perforated PP desiccator plate and features a PP stopcock with a self-lubricating PTFE plug. The three-way plug design allows users to create, hold, or release a vacuum as needed.
