The short block for Kohler® engine models KT745 is designed based on the Kohler® Command Pro® commercial engine. This air-cooled, V-Twin 7000 series engine features a Pro Performance Filtration Package that enhances air, oil, and fuel filter capacity for additional protection. The pressure lubrication system extends engine life by ensuring critical components are well-lubricated, while the Smart-Choke™ technology allows for reliable starting in hot or cold conditions, even below freezing, without the need to choke the engine, enabling starts at any throttle position. Additionally, the Consistent-Cut™ technology maintains engine speed in challenging mowing conditions. This engine is a consumer-grade, four-cycle, twin-cylinder, air-cooled, vertical shaft, gasoline, OHV engine equipped with a cast iron liner.
