The patented EgeeTouch® 5th generation smart padlock features a robust and rugged design suitable for outdoor and commercial use, with waterproof and freeze-proof capabilities, shackle cutting strength, and corrosion resistance that meets the highest grade 6 ASTM salt-test. It utilizes dual intelligent proximity and historical access tracing technologies incorporating NFC, Bluetooth, and cloud-based systems to provide enhanced security and traceability. The padlock supports multiple access methods: unlocking can be achieved by pressing the shackle and tapping it with an EgeeTouch® NFC tag, through any Bluetooth paired smartphone (Apple and Android), or an Apple Watch and Samsung Gear S2/3. Its operational temperature ranges from -4°F to +140°F or -20°C to 60°C. The padlock offers shared access with audit trails for superior security, allowing users to assign and delete access for specific individuals, including timed-access features. The EgeeTouch® app enables control over access management, providing administrators the ability to set or restrict access based on specified time frames, making it ideal for commercial environments. Additionally, the lock owner can utilize the lock/unlock history to track user access by time, date, and location while conveniently storing lock information and IDs via the app. The rechargeable battery is designed to endure up to 7,000 lock/unlock cycles per charge, complemented by a patented security feature that prevents access to the battery compartment.
