The patented EgeeTouch® 5th generation smart padlock features a robust and rugged design suitable for outdoor and commercial use, with waterproof and freeze-proof capabilities (-4°F to +140°F or -20°C to 60°C), shackle cutting strength, and corrosion resistance that meets the highest grade 6 ASTM salt-test. It employs dual intelligent proximity and historical access tracing technologies, incorporating NFC, Bluetooth, and cloud-based functionalities that provide enhanced security and traceability beyond typical keyed or combination padlocks. The padlock offers multiple access methods: users can unlock it by pressing the shackle and tapping with an EgeeTouch® NFC tag, any Bluetooth paired smartphone (compatible with Apple and Android), or an Apple Watch and Samsung Gear S2/3. The padlock supports shared access and offers audit trails for superior access security through proximity and remote authentication, allowing administrators to assign and delete users and set timed-access features. The EgeeTouch® app enables users to manage access, track lock/unlock history, and conveniently store lock information and IDs. The rechargeable battery provides up to 7,000 lock/unlock cycles per charge, and includes a patented security feature to prevent unauthorized access to the battery compartment.
