The Kohler® Command Pro® Commercial engine is a robust, 4-cycle, gasoline-powered unit featuring an overhead valve (OHV) design, cast iron cylinder liner, and aluminum block, designed for professional-grade power and performance. The engine is equipped with a Quad-Clean™ All-Season Four-Stage Cyclonic Air Filter for effective engine protection in challenging conditions, a large-capacity metal fuel tank for extended operation, and three fuel filters (fill neck, in-tank, and carburetor inlet) to ensure clean fuel delivery. The engine also includes advanced features such as an electronic ignition system, a large-capacity muffler with heat shield and spark arrestor, and a built-in warm-air system for winter operation. It is CARB Tier 3 certified, has an increased displacement, and incorporates a balance shaft (14 HP) along with dual ball bearings for smooth operation. The steel-forged-and-hardened crankshaft provides durability, while dual oil fills and drains facilitate maintenance. The automatic low oil engine shutdown system enhances safety, and its other attributes include a Stellite®-faced exhaust valve, a carbon canister fuel cap, and a water trap for moisture separation in fuel. The engine is designed for ease of use with features like an easy-access throttle, choke, and fuel shutoff, an automatic compression release, a mechanical governor, and a sound-deadening alloy crankcase. It also has a carburetor bowl drain, high-inertia flywheel, silenced air intake, and an indexable Easy-Pull™ recoil starter, along with a Fuel Secure™ auto fuel shutoff feature.
