OHAUS® Guardian 7000 hotplate stirrers are engineered for outstanding safety and superior heating and mixing performance. The kit includes a power cord, 8" (20.3 cm) stainless steel RTD temperature probe, a 1-1/2" (3.8 cm) PTFE coated stir bar, and an in-use cover. They feature a chemical-resistant SmartHousing™ with an easy-to-clean design that channels spills away from internal components and an angled hardened glass control panel. The backlit LCD display shows temperature, speed, and time with intuitive icons, including indicators for heating, stirring, SmartRate™, SmartHeat™, SmartPresence™, SmartLink™, probe in use, and single-point calibration. Operational ranges include stirring speeds from 60 to 1600 rpm and temperature ranges from ambient +5° C up to 500° C for ceramic tops or 380° C for aluminum tops. Construction includes IP21 ingress protection, control knobs, an on/off switch for heater disconnect, a built-in support rod holder, and options for either easy-to-clean ceramic or aluminum tops. The USB port allows programming of repeat applications and enhances safety with SmartLink™ technology, while the long-range user detection function operates with an OHAUS® Bluetooth dongle accessory (sold separately). The device includes hot top indicator lights, an audible alarm, and a SmartHeat™ temperature limiting function. Warranty terms apply as provided by OHAUS®.
