The kit includes 12-24 x 1/2 Phil flat undercut thread cutting screws type F with full thread, made from 18-8 stainless steel. These thread-cutting type-F screws are designed for use in heavy gauge sheet metal, aluminum, zinc and lead die castings, cast iron, brass, and plastic. When using stainless steel, the material into which the screw is intended to cut threads should have a hardness lower by 10-20 Rockwell hardness. The flat undercut heads are specifically utilized when a flat head is required on shorter length screws.
