The fan forced washdown unit heaters are 20,000 watt, 480V heavy-duty electric units designed for operation in dirty and dusty environments that necessitate equipment washing or hosing. These washdown heaters are constructed to be corrosion resistant, totally enclosed, and water-tight, making them suitable for industrial heating applications. They feature a robust 304 grade, 16 gauge stainless steel shroud and stainless steel finned tubular heating element. The units are equipped with a totally enclosed motor that includes an automatic reset thermal cutout and a rotating front grill that directs airflow. Built-in controls and safety temperature controls are wired into a non-metallic NEMA 4X control panel, which has single-point power connections, 24V control, a 3-position switch, a pilot light, and a capillary style thermostat. The control panel, located at the bottom of the unit, allows for ease of installation and service. Additionally, the disconnect switch is designed with an enclosure door interlock, and the minimum mounting height is 7 feet. The units are ABS type approved, ETL listed, and come with a 1-year limited warranty.
