The Caloritech™ PXFT control panel and pump house heater is engineered to maintain a suitable temperature within control enclosures or similar spaces, capable of being mounted either horizontally or vertically on the floor or lower wall. Standard models are intended for indoor use and come with a built-in thermostat, while units without thermostats are available upon special request. The required wattage is based on the surface area, insulation properties of the enclosure, and the temperature difference between ambient and the enclosure. Installation requires the use of the provided mounting bracket to ensure adequate spacing between the heater and surrounding structures, with a recommendation to maximize distance from temperature-sensitive components. The surface temperatures for the 50-watt and 125-watt units are approximately 212°F (100°C) and 338°F (170°C), respectively, while other units operate at around 410°F (210°C). The PXFT heater features a high surface area aluminum heat emitter, eliminating the need for a fan while providing low radiation and high convection heating. The thermostat has a rating of 25 A at 240V, single pole, single throw, adjustable from 30°F to 120°F (0°C to 50°C). The movable bracket allows for flexible floor or wall mounting with the terminal box positioned on either side or at the top or bottom. Wire guards come standard with the PXFT-300, PXFT-400, and PXFT-600-watt heaters, while they are available as an option for the PXFT-050, PXFT-125, and PXFT-200-watt units, all designed to prevent condensation and freezing in control panels. The heater is compliant with relevant certifications and specifications.
