The Caloritech™ PXFT control panel and pump house heater is engineered to maintain an appropriate temperature within control enclosures, pump houses, or similar spaces. The heater can be mounted both horizontally and vertically on the floor or lower wall of the enclosure. Standard models are designed for indoor use and feature a built-in thermostat, while units without a thermostat can be specially ordered. The wattage required is influenced by the surface area, insulation properties of the enclosure, and the temperature differential between ambient conditions and the enclosure. The installation of the Caloritech™ PXFT heater requires the use of the provided mounting bracket to ensure adequate spacing from the wall or floor, with an emphasis on maximizing distance from temperature-sensitive components. The surface temperatures for the 50-watt and 125-watt models are approximately 212°F (100°C) and 338°F (170°C), respectively, whereas other models operate around 410°F (210°C). The PXFT heater features a high surface area aluminum heat emitter, which eliminates the need for a fan while delivering low radiation and high convection heating. The thermostat is rated at 25 A at 240V, single pole, single throw, adjustable in a range from 30°F to 120°F (0°C to 50°C). A movable bracket allows for flexible floor or wall mounting, with the terminal box situated on the left or right side, top, or bottom. Wire guards come standard with the PXFT-300, PXFT-400, and PXFT-600-watt models, and are available as an option for the PXFT-050, PXFT-125, and PXFT-200-watt units, all of which are designed to prevent condensation and freezing in control panels.
