Caloritech™ type PH electric control panel enclosure heaters are fan-forced air heaters designed to maintain a stable temperature within enclosures, thereby preventing adverse effects from low temperatures such as corrosion, freezing, or condensation on critical components. The wattage requirement for heater selection is based on factors such as the surface area, insulation properties of the enclosure, and the temperature difference between the ambient and the enclosure. These heaters should be installed in the center of the cabinet and as low as practical for optimal heat distribution, preferably in a vertical position to effectively release the heated air. The enclosures must be sealed and free from dust, with precautions taken to avoid placing heat-sensitive components near the heat discharge area. The Caloritech PH enclosure heater features CSA C/US approval, a fan auto/on switch to prolong motor life, an externally adjustable thermostat ranging from 0°F to 100°F (-18°C to 38°C), a pilot light indicating 'heat on', and a terminal strip for quick installation with both stranded and solid wire. Additional features include high-temperature safety protection, optional DIN rail mounting, lightweight construction, low maintenance requirements, an aluminum alloy outer casing for interior component protection, and screw fasteners for easy access to internal components. The heater operates at a voltage of 120V, with a single phase (1ø), a frequency of 60 hertz, and is capable of functioning at a minimum ambient operating temperature of -4°F (-20°C).
