The Caloritech™ PXFT control panel and pump house heater is engineered to maintain suitable temperatures within control enclosures, pump houses, or similar environments and is approved for horizontal or vertical mounting on the floor or lower wall of the enclosure. Standard models are designed for indoor use and are equipped with a built-in thermostat, while units without a thermostat can be special ordered. The wattage requirement is determined based on the surface area, insulation properties, and the temperature difference between the ambient environment and the enclosure. Installation requires the use of a provided mounting bracket to ensure proper spacing between the heater and the wall or floor, while also maximizing space from temperature-sensitive components. Surface temperatures for the 50-watt and 125-watt units reach approximately 212°F (100°C) and 338°F (170°C), respectively, with other units operating around 410°F (210°C). The PXFT heater features a high surface area aluminum heat emitter that negates the need for a fan, delivering efficient low radiation and high convection heating. Its thermostat is rated at 25 A at 240V, single pole, single throw, and is adjustable from 30°F to 120°F (0°C to 50°C). A movable bracket facilitates floor or wall mounting with the terminal box located on the left or right side, top, or bottom. Wire guards are included as standard with PXFT-300, PXFT-400, and PXFT-600-watt heaters, and are available as an option for PXFT-050, PXFT-125, and PXFT-200-watt units. This heater is specifically designed to prevent condensation and freezing in control panels.
