The Caloritech™ PXFT control panel and pump house heater is engineered to maintain suitable temperatures inside control enclosures, pump houses, or similar spaces and is approved for both horizontal and vertical mounting on the floor or lower wall of the enclosure. Standard units are intended for indoor applications and are supplied with a built-in thermostat; units without a thermostat can be ordered specially. The wattage requirement is determined based on the surface area, insulation properties of the enclosure, and the temperature differential between the ambient environment and the enclosure. The heater is designed for installation using the provided mounting bracket, ensuring proper spacing between the heater and the wall or floor, while optimizing distance from temperature-sensitive components. The surface temperatures for the 50-watt and 125-watt units are approximately 212°F (100°C) and 338°F (170°C), respectively, with higher wattage units operating around 410°F (210°C). Key features include a high surface area aluminum heat emitter for low radiation and high convection heating, with a thermostat rated at 25 A at 240V, single pole, single throw, adjustable from 30°F to 120°F (0°C to 50°C). A movable bracket allows for versatile floor or wall mounting with terminal box positioning options on the left or right side, or top or bottom. Wire guards are standard for PXFT-300, PXFT-400, and PXFT-600-watt heaters and available as an option for PXFT-050, PXFT-125, and PXFT-200-watt units, effectively preventing condensation and freezing in control panels. The product complies with relevant industry standards and certifications, providing reliable and efficient performance.
