The Blickman 7970SS (Paul) instrument and supply cabinets are designed for maximum storage capacity, featuring five polished glass or stainless steel shelves that can be adjusted every 1/2". The cabinets have a sloping top to prevent dust collection and are equipped with a locking door latch for securing contents. They are mounted on three-inch swivel casters, two of which have brakes. Optional features include stainless steel doors and glides. Constructed from type 300 series stainless steel and 1/4" clear tempered sheet glass, the cabinets use 18-gauge material for the body, outer doorframes, and sloping tops, while the door inserts are made of 20-gauge and the legs of 12-gauge stainless steel. The cabinet comprises a seamless welded storage compartment with doubled front edges and a sloping top, mounted on four offset type legs with casters. The double-shell design of the two glass-paneled doors features three semi-concealed stainless steel hinges each, with the outer frame being die-formed to accommodate a rubber gasketed glass panel. The right-hand door has a locking handle and three-point latching, while the left-hand door is fitted with a dummy knob and spring-loaded nylon roller catches. The interior features either five adjustable glass shelves or an 18-gauge stainless steel pegboard, depending on the model. Welding is performed using the Heli-Arc method, ensuring all exposed welds are ground smooth, and the exposed surfaces are polished to a satin finish. The 3" ball bearing swivel casters enhance mobility, and additional options include glides, stainless steel shelves, solid doors, and recessing flanges for built-in units.
