Blickman high cabinets are designed with double-walled solid doors, providing enhanced strength and sound deadening for optimal performance. The sliding doors operate quietly on noiseless ball bearing rollers, while the recessed base allows for a convenient 3" x 4" toe space for easy access to the cabinets. These cabinets are constructed from stainless steel, type 300 series, nickel-bearing, with 1/4" thick clear tempered glass. The gauges include 18 gauge for body shelves and the outer door pan or frame, 16 gauge for the base, and 12 gauge for leveling gussets. They are designed as floor and wall-supported, with finished sides and five adjustable shelves made of channel shaped and flanged edge construction, adjustable on 1/2" centers throughout the height of the cabinets. The solid doors feature double wall, telescoping pans with interior channel reinforcing, while the glazed doors have a double shell design with a one-piece outer frame and a rubber gasketed glass panel held in place by removable insert strips. The doors can be hinged or sliding, with right-hand hinged doors having a two-point up and down knob latching mechanism, and left-hand doors featuring an astragal, dummy knob, and spring-loaded nylon roller catch. Sliding doors function with semi-concealed ball bearing sheaves within stainless steel tracks. All welding is performed using the heli-arc method with exposed welds ground smooth. The finish on all exposed surfaces ensures durability and aesthetic appeal.
