The Edwards 5530M Adaptatone Millennium is a heavy-duty industrial tone selectable signaling device that produces volume-controlled high decibel tones, reaching up to 110 dB at 10 feet. It features a microprocessor circuit that creates 27 distinctive tones, which can be selected by setting a dip switch within the unit. The device is PLC compatible, allowing activation from field-wired normally open contacts or from a 24 VDC external voltage source without the need for additional loading resistors or relays. Constructed for NEMA type 3R environments, it is suitable for various industrial applications, including emergency warning systems, plant evacuation, security intrusion alarms, process monitoring, shift start and dismissal horns, and paging signals. The Adaptatone Millennium carries UL, CUL, and CE approvals, ensuring compliance with industry standards. It is designed for 1/2" (13 mm) conduit or surface mounting.
