The Universal Adaptaplate is designed for direct mounting on surfaces or electrical boxes and can be utilized outdoors when paired with a 449 back box. This kit includes 4-inch gong sizes, and the DC vibrating bells are engineered to produce a long continuous ringing sound. The striker mechanism strikes the gong in rapid-fire action for as long as the current is supplied. The Universal Adaptaplate is compatible with various electrical boxes, fitting any single gang box measuring 3 1/4" (83mm), 3 1/2" (89mm), or 4" (102mm) octagon boxes, as well as any plaster cover with mounting holes on 2 3/4" (70mm) centers. Additionally, both 6" and 10" bells can be mounted on 4" (102mm) square boxes. The DC vibrating bell is suitable for outdoor applications when mounted on the Cat. No. 449 weatherproof back box, and it is specified for timing scheduling and general alarm applications.
