The NACHI 29317EX is a spherical roller thrust bearing designed for extra capacity with a steel cage. Its improved internal design allows it to achieve twice the bearing life compared to conventional E-type spherical roller thrust bearings. This bearing is specifically engineered to carry heavy axial loads while being capable of supporting radial loads, provided that these radial loads do not exceed 50% of the axial loads. To prevent damage from sliding motion between the rollers and the raceway, it is essential for the bearing to be subjected to a load exceeding the minimum axial load, calculated as FA min = static load rating / 1000. Additionally, this bearing is self-aligning with a maximum allowable misalignment of approximately 2°. For optimal performance, oil lubrication is recommended for conventional E-type configurations.
