The NachI 29418EXS1 is a spherical roller thrust bearing featuring an extra capacity steel cage, designed to carry heavy axial loads while also supporting radial loads up to 50% of the axial load. The improved internal design allows for twice the bearing life compared to conventional E-type spherical roller thrust bearings. To prevent damage from sliding motion between the rollers and the raceway, these bearings must be subjected to a load greater than the minimum axial load (FA min = static load rating / 1000). The bearings are self-aligning, with a maximum allowable misalignment of about 2°. Oil lubrication is recommended for the conventional E-type.
