The Nachi 29420EXS1 is a spherical roller thrust bearing featuring an extra capacity design with a steel cage. Its improved internal configuration allows the Nachi Ex-type spherical roller thrust bearings to achieve a bearing life that is twice that of the conventional E-type spherical roller thrust bearing. Specifically designed for heavy axial loads, these bearings can also accommodate radial loads, provided that the radial loads do not exceed 50% of the axial loads. To prevent damage from sliding motion between the rollers and the raceway, it is essential that these bearings are subjected to a load greater than the minimum axial load, calculated as Fa min = static load rating / 1000. Additionally, these bearings are self-aligning, with a maximum allowable misalignment of about 2°. For optimal performance, oil lubrication is recommended for the conventional E-type.
