The Nachi 29340E is a spherical roller thrust bearing featuring an extra capacity design and a bronze cage, characterized by an improved internal design that allows it to achieve twice the bearing life of conventional E-type spherical roller thrust bearings. Engineered to carry heavy axial loads, this bearing can also support radial loads, provided that they do not exceed 50% of the axial loads. To avoid damage from sliding motion between rollers and the raceway, it must be subjected to a load greater than the minimum axial load (Fa min = static load rating / 1000). The self-aligning nature of these bearings accommodates a maximum allowable misalignment of about 2 degrees. It is recommended that oil lubrication be used for the conventional E-type bearings.
