The High Speed Steel Aircraft Extension Drill is designed for general purpose deep drilling in normal steels, cast iron, and various ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys, available in lengths of 6" and 12". It features a right hand (clockwise rotation) cutting direction and a standard two flute design, with normal spiral helical flutes. The drill is cylindrically ground from solid high speed steel and finished with a black oxide coating.
