The high speed steel aircraft extension drill is designed for general purpose deep drilling in normal steels, cast iron, and a variety of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys. It is available in lengths of 6 inches and 12 inches and features a right hand (clockwise rotation) cutting direction with a standard two flute design. The technical specifications include normal spiral - helical flutes, which are cylindrically ground from solid high speed steel, and a black oxide finish.
