The high speed steel aircraft extension drill is designed for general purpose deep drilling in normal steels, cast iron, and a variety of other ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys. It is available in lengths of 6 inches and 12 inches, featuring a right hand (clockwise rotation) cutting direction and a standard two flute design. The drill incorporates normal spiral helical flutes and is cylindrically ground from solid high speed steel, finished with a black oxide coating.
