The high speed steel aircraft extension drill is designed for general purpose deep drilling in normal steels, cast iron, and a variety of other ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys, and is available in lengths of 6 inches and 12 inches. It features a right hand (clockwise rotation) cutting direction and a standard two flute design, with normal spiral helical flutes. The drill is cylindrically ground from solid high speed steel and has a black oxide finish, which contributes to its durability and performance.
