The high speed steel aircraft extension drill is designed for general purpose deep drilling in normal steels, cast iron, and a variety of other ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys. It is available in lengths of 6 inches and 12 inches. The drill features a right-hand (clockwise rotation) cutting direction and a standard two flute design. Technical specifications include normal spiral helical flutes, which are cylindrically ground from solid material, and the drill is manufactured from high-speed steel with a black oxide finish.
