The Ultratech Ultra-Ada pad, in brick red and model number 0761, is a 2' x 4' detectable warning system designed specifically to aid the visually impaired. It is available in four sizes: 2' x 2', 2' x 3', 2' x 4', and 2' x 5'. The pad features a flexible construction that adapts to dips, slopes, and inclines in sidewalks and walkways. Ultra-Ada pads are engineered so that visually impaired individuals can detect the raised, truncated domes with their feet, which, in conjunction with the tapping cane, signals a change in surface leading to an upcoming intersection. The installation process is quick and easy, utilizing adhesive and anchors that are included with the product. This pad offers superior slip and impact resistance compared to composite materials and is unbreakable. It meets the compliance standards set by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and provides tactile warning surfaces that fulfill the detectable warnings on walking surfaces as mandated in Title 49 CFR transportation, part 37.9, and appendix A, section 4.29.2.
