The Ultratech Ultra-Ada Pad is a yellow retrofit detectable warning system designed to aid the visually impaired, measuring 2' x 3'. It is available in four sizes: 2' x 2', 2' x 3', 2' x 4', and 2' x 5'. The safety yellow color enhances visibility for individuals with severe visual impairments. Its flexible construction allows it to adapt to dips, slopes, and inclines in sidewalks and walkways. The Ultra-Ada pad features raised, truncated domes that can be felt underfoot, alerting users to a change in surface and indicating an upcoming intersection when used in conjunction with a tapping cane. Installation is quick and easy, utilizing included adhesive and anchors. The pad boasts superior slip resistance and impact resistance compared to composites, ensuring durability with its unbreakable design. It complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and provides tactile warning surfaces that adhere to the detectable warnings on walking surfaces section of the ADA, as well as Title 49 CFR Transportation, Part 37.9 standards for accessible transportation facilities, appendix A, section 4.29.2 detectable warnings on walking surfaces.
