The Ultratech Ultra-Ada pad, available in a safety yellow color, is a retrofit 0750 model designed as a 2' x 2' detectable warning system for aiding the visually impaired. It is offered in four sizes: 2' x 2', 2' x 3', 2' x 4', and 2' x 5'. The flexible construction adapts to various dips, slopes, and inclines in sidewalks and walkways, ensuring that visually impaired individuals can detect raised, truncated domes beneath their feet. This tactile feedback, when combined with a tapping cane, alerts users to a different surface indicating an upcoming intersection. The pad installs quickly and easily with included adhesive and anchors, featuring superior slip and impact resistance compared to composites. It is designed to be unbreakable and complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), meeting the detectable warnings requirements on walking surfaces as outlined in Title 49 CFR Transportation, Part 37.9 standards for accessible transportation facilities, appendix A, section 4.29.2.
