The Cast Iron Flanged Ball Valve features a PTFE® fused ball in the 4000 and 3700 series, which is more durable, less susceptible to buildup, and longer-lasting than standard unprotected balls. Developed in collaboration with DuPont, a process was created to impregnate PTFE® .008" into a solid metal ball, with an additional .004" applied electrostatically for enhanced smoothness. This integrated PTFE® ensures that it cannot flake, chip, or peel off, providing recognized corrosion and chemical resistance. The valve offers lower torque ratings due to the lubricity of the PTFE® ball, facilitating easier operation with a smaller, more cost-effective actuator. The 4000 series also includes a comprehensive selection of actuators, gear operators, and operating nuts, as well as a unique four-bolt actuator mounting pad for automation requirements. This valve serves as an effective alternative to cast iron gates, carbon steel ball valves, and plug valves, boasting superior longevity and performance for various applications.
