The half height locker is designed specifically for children's schools, learning centers, and confined areas where full height lockers may not be feasible. This steel single wide locker, measuring 48-1/2"H, features a fixed height shelf that creates two compartments, providing ample space for storing books, supplies, and equipment. Constructed from prime grade cold rolled steel, the locker includes a welded door frame with mortise and tenon construction for enhanced durability. The 16 gauge steel door is louvered for ventilation and equipped with 5-knuckle hinges for added strength. It comes with number plates, which must be specified at the time of order. The die-cast latching handle ensures quick and easy operation through spring-loaded latch clips, while the latch channels feature unique nylon glides and rubber bumpers to minimize noise and ensure quiet operation. Additionally, the locker includes two single prong coat hooks and boasts a powder coat finish, making it easy to assemble. Note that effective 3/01/2021, champagne color finished Vanguard and Guardian lockers maintain the same color throughout; gray color finished only quick ship Vanguard lockers are also in the same color throughout, while other color finishes in the Vanguard and Guardian series will have common champagne color body parts. Single solid colors may be available but are subject to longer lead times and additional charges.
