The Bluff® steel dock board with steel curbs is designed to enhance loading operations while improving safety and reducing labor costs. It features an anti-skid diamond tread surface and high-visibility beveled curbs to maximize safety. Constructed from heavy-duty all-welded steel, this dock board is suitable for frequent motorized traffic, offering maximum impact resistance, strength, and safety. It is equipped with built-in lifting loops and a curb that provides a full-length handgrip, ensuring ease and safety during handling. A safety stop on the underside secures the board between the truck and dock, preventing movement under load. The dock board has an 11° angle unless another angle is specified, with an 11" entry lip that has a rounded nose to protect tires. It complies with OSHA requirements 1910.30(a). Note that the capacity is based on the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck, rated for a single shift with equipment speeds of up to 3 mph. For multi-shift operations with 3-wheeled forklifts or trucks using a paper roll clamp, an additional 5000 lbs. should be added to the board capacity. The recommended width is 12" greater than the lift truck or load, with the most popular width being 60". The usable width is 4" less than the overall width. Stackers, 3-wheeled forklifts, and other narrow aisle loaders should not be used on a dock board, and refrigerated trucks require special dock boards. The application height is up to 5" above the dock with propane or gas forklifts and up to 3" above the dock with electric forklifts or pallet jacks.
