The Bluff® heavy duty steel dock board features lock pins for secure placement and is designed for easy and adjustable positioning between a truck and dock, making it forkliftable. This dock board includes fold-down lifting loops that facilitate transportation and positioning by a forklift. It is constructed with all welded steel, making it suitable for high traffic cycles and multiple shift docks. The board comes with two 1" diameter positioning pins and two 4-position pin pockets on each side, ensuring exact placement. It includes a 7° bend located 17" from the dock end and a 9° bend positioned 8" from the truck end. This dock board complies with OSHA spec. 1910.30(a) and ANSI spec. MH30.2. The capacity is based on the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck, rated for a single shift with equipment speeds not exceeding 3 mph. The width should be 12 inches greater than the lift truck or load, and the usable width is 6 inches less than the overall width. Note that stackers and other narrow aisle loaders should not be used on the dock board. Special dock boards are required for refrigerated trucks. The height difference required is the height difference above the dock, with an application height of up to 13 inches above the dock or 5.5 inches below the dock with propane or gas forklifts, and up to 10 inches above or 5.5 inches below with electric forklifts or pallet jacks.
