The Bluff® heavy duty steel dock board with lock pins is designed for efficient and secure positioning between trucks and docks. This forkliftable dock board includes features such as fold-down lifting loops for easy transport, two 1" diameter positioning pins, and two 4-position pin pockets on each side for precise placement. Constructed with all welded steel, it is suitable for high traffic cycles and multiple shift docks. The dock board features one 7° bend 17" from the dock end and one 9° bend 8" from the truck end. It complies with OSHA Spec. 1910.30(a) and ANSI Spec. MH30.2. The capacity is determined by the combined weight of the maximum pallet load and lift truck, rated for a single shift with equipment speeds of up to 3 mph. The width of the board should be 12" greater than the lift truck or load, and the usable width is 6" less than the overall width. Note that stackers and other narrow aisle loaders should not be used on the dock board, and refrigerated trucks require special dockboards. The application height is capable of accommodating up to 15" above the dock or 6.5" below the dock with propane or gas forklifts, and up to 12" above or 6.5" below the dock with electric forklifts or pallet jacks.
