The Chalfant Energy Saving Dock Seal is designed to cut energy costs while safeguarding workers and merchandise from outside elements. This product features polyurethane foam pads measuring 12" W x 10" D, which are covered with abrasion-resistant and flame-resistant 40 oz. vinyl, ensuring durability for heavy, frequent usage. The dock seal is factory mounted on 2" thick kiln-dried wood wall mounting bases encased in the seal, and all necessary installation hardware is included. Additionally, the dock seal incorporates 4" yellow safety stripes for enhanced visibility, and it is designed for a level approach with a flush dock face, requiring seals to project 4" - 6" past the bumper, with bumpers sold separately. To order the appropriate dock seal, customers must provide specific information including door size in feet (W' x H'), dock bumper projection in inches, dock ledge projection in inches, dock height in inches, and if the approach is not level, they must indicate the percentage of decline or incline to ensure proper modifications. Note that an approval drawing will be submitted prior to manufacturing the dock seal, and some modifications may affect the final price.
