The Chalfant Energy Saving Dock Seal is designed to cut energy costs while providing protection for workers and merchandise against outside elements. It features polyurethane foam pads measuring 12"W x 10"D that are covered with durable, abrasion-resistant, flame-resistant 40 oz. vinyl, ensuring heavy and frequent usage. The dock seal is factory mounted on 2" thick kiln-dried wood wall mounting bases encased in the seal, and all necessary installation hardware is included. It also includes 4" yellow safety stripes for enhanced visibility and is intended for a level approach with a flush dock face. The seals are designed to project between 4" and 6" past the bumper, which is sold separately. For proper ordering, required information includes the door size in feet (W' x H'), dock bumper projection in inches, dock ledge projection in inches, dock height in inches, and information regarding approach level, as tapered seals must be ordered if the approach is not level, specifying the percentage of decline or incline. An approval drawing will be provided before manufacturing the dock seal, and modifications may lead to changes in pricing depending on the extent of those modifications.
