The Chalfant Energy Saving Dock Seal is designed to cut energy costs while providing protection for workers and merchandise from various outside elements. It features polyurethane foam pads measuring 12"W x 10"D, which are covered with 40 oz. abrasion-resistant, flame-resistant vinyl for durability during heavy and frequent usage. The seal is factory mounted on 2" thick kiln-dried wood wall mounting bases and includes all necessary installation hardware. Safety is enhanced with 4" yellow safety stripes for increased visibility, and the design accommodates a level approach with a flush dock face, with seals projecting 4" - 6" past the bumper, which is sold separately. For proper ordering, users need to provide door size (W' x H'), dock bumper projection, dock ledge projection, dock height, and indicate if the approach is not level, in which case tapered seals must be ordered based on the percentage of decline or incline. An approval drawing will be submitted prior to manufacturing, and modifications may affect the final price based on the extent of changes.
