Each mat includes 3/8" diameter grommet holes on each side (approximately every 3 feet) for secure anchoring to the surface. The mats consist of an electrically operated heating element sandwiched between two layers of non-slip rubber, ensuring durability comparable to automobile tires and resistance to wear. They connect to any standard outlet via a GFCI protected, 6-foot power cord and have an overall thickness of 1/4". The heating mats maintain an average temperature of 40 degrees above the ambient temperature and can melt snow at an average rate of approximately 2 inches per hour, making them highly effective when activated before snowfall.
