Penco lockers with recessed handle single tier assembled include a variety of features designed for secure, reliable, and quiet use. The right-hand butt hinge is recessed into the doorframe, preventing the hinge pin from being forced out or tampered with. All door openings feature mortise and tenon construction with spot welding for rigidity. The continuous door strike ensures secure closure, and the strikes are padded to dampen closing noise. Both single and double tier models boast a recessed handle that provides a smooth, catch-free front and protects padlocks from tampering. Latching channels are equipped with nylon glides, which reduce sound during operation. These single tier lockers have a 3-point latching system (top, bottom, and side legs, adding 6 inches to the height), and it is recommended to anchor the lockers to the floor and/or wall for safety. The lockers feature a durable powder coat finish. Effective March 1, 2021, champagne color finished Vanguard and Guardian lockers maintain the same color throughout, while gray color finished quick ship Vanguard lockers also feature a uniform color. Other color finishes in Vanguard and Guardian will include common champagne color body parts, and single solid colors are available with longer lead times and an additional charge.
