Penco lockers with recessed handle single tier assembled features a variety of attributes designed for secure, reliable, and quiet use. The lockers have a right-hand butt hinge recessed into the doorframe, preventing the hinge pin from being forced out or tampered with. Each door opening is constructed with mortis and tenon joints and spot welding for added rigidity. A continuous door strike ensures secure closure, and the strikes are padded to dampen closing noise. Both single and double tier models come with a recessed handle that allows for a smooth, catch-free front while protecting padlocks from tampering. The latching channels are equipped with nylon glides to minimize sound during operation. Single tier lockers are designed with 3-point latching (top, bottom, and sides), and the legs add 6 inches to the overall height. For safety, it is recommended to anchor the lockers to the floor and/or wall. The lockers are finished with a durable powder coat for added protection. Note that effective 3/01/2021, champagne color finished Vanguard and Guardian lockers maintain the same color throughout, while gray color finished quick ship Vanguard lockers are also uniform in color. Other color finishes in Vanguard and Guardian will contain standard champagne color body parts, with single solid colors available at longer lead times and additional charges.
