Penco lockers with recessed handle single tier assembled include a variety of features to ensure secure, reliable, and quiet use. The right-hand butt hinge is recessed into the doorframe, preventing the hinge pin from being forced out or tampered with. All door openings feature mortise and tenon construction with spot welding for added rigidity. A continuous door strike ensures secure closure, and the strikes include padding to dampen closing noise. Both single and double tier models are equipped with a recessed handle that provides a smooth, catch-free front while protecting padlocks from tampering. Latching channels incorporate nylon glides to reduce sound during operation. These single tier lockers are designed with 3-point latching (top, bottom, and sides), with the addition of 6 inches to the height due to the side legs. It is recommended to anchor the lockers to the floor and/or wall for safety. The lockers feature a durable powder coat finish. Note: Effective 3/01/2021, champagne color finished Vanguard and Guardian lockers maintain the same color throughout the locker. Gray color finished only quick ship Vanguard lockers are in solid color throughout, while other color finishes in Vanguard and Guardian will have common champagne color body parts. Single solid colors are available with longer lead times and additional charges.
