Penco lockers with recessed handle single tier assembled include a variety of features designed for secure, reliable, and quiet use. The right-hand butt hinge is recessed into the doorframe, preventing the hinge pin from being forced out or tampered with. All door openings incorporate mortise and tenon construction with spot welding for enhanced rigidity. A continuous door strike ensures secure closure, while padded strikes help dampen closing noise. Single and double tier models are equipped with a recessed handle that offers a smooth, catch-free front and protects padlocks from tampering. The latching channels are fitted with nylon glides to minimize sound during operation. These single tier lockers feature 3-point latching (top, bottom, and sides) and have legs that add 6 inches to the overall height. It is recommended to anchor the lockers to the floor and/or wall for safety. The lockers have a durable powder coat finish. Please note that effective March 1, 2021, champagne color finished Vanguard and Guardian lockers remain consistent in color throughout, while gray color finished quick ship Vanguard lockers are also uniform. Other color finishes in Vanguard and Guardian will have common champagne color body parts, and single solid colors are available with longer lead times and additional charges.
